Bullion’s first two releases Get Familiar and the Young Heartache EP established him as one of the top players in his field. Only Bullion can play alongside Gaslamp Killer at Low End Theory in LA one week and support The xx in London the next. His most recent release, Say Goodbye To What, is hook-laden psychedelic funk, a pop song brimming with intricacies and a beautifully-skewed production approach. It may well be the strangest singalong track of the year. Flipside Crazy Over You is a melancholic headnodder, drifting through the speakers with a lovelorn grace while pummeling you with the bottom end. The life of the romantic is not always an easy one.
