Like Danny Brown, Dabrye is a native of Michigan, and his remix’s howling synths and metallic snares inject ‘Street Lights’ with a new brutality that fits with its lyrical theme of a Detroit blighted by poverty and neglect. FACT Magazine premiered the remix on their website, and you can stream it above.
‘Street Lights’ is out on One-Handed Music on the 15th of April. The lead track is available for free download from Soundcloud and you can pre-order the 12″ vinyl here.

Pitchfork describe ‘Street Lights’ as “sketching a picture of a dystopic world filled with cop-killers and runaways over White’s manic psychedelia”. We couldn’t put it better ourselves.
‘Street Lights’, a vivid portrait of a Detroit blighted by poverty and neglect, with remixes from OHM favourite Dabrye on the flip, also serves as a teaser for Danny Brown’s forthcoming album Old, which includes a number of Paul White-produced tracks. This summer will also see the release of Paul White’s Watch The Ants EP on OHM, along with various other solo projects, remixes and production work for the likes of Homeboy Sandman, Trim, Charli XCX and more. ‘Street Lights’ establishes Paul and Danny’s producer-MC relationship as one of the finest in hip-hop today
